Dr. Andrea Adimando joined UB as an adjunct instructor in 2014. She co-created NUTR 560G - Lifelong Healing with Food - and has been teaching it for the MSN in Nutrition program yearly since. Dr. Adimando is also a full time Associate Professor and Director of the MSN program at Southern CT State University's School of Nursing. She has practiced as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2006 in various mental health settings in CT. She sought out the MS in Nutrition from UB as a means to better understand the underlying role that nutrition played in medical and mental illness, and has since transformed her practice into an integrative and holistic option for patients with all levels of mental and behavioral health challenges. Her research interests include compassion fatigue, burnout, and complementary and alternative therapies for mental health disorders.
