Dr. Cantito came to the University after practicing for 14 years in private practice at Cantito Family Chiropractic in Middlebury, CT. Previous to his chiropractic career, He was as a paramedic, and a firefighter for the City of Waterbury, CT. Dr. Cantito was also a P.E. teacher, and an Assistant Athletic Trainer at The Taft School in Watertown, CT and Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

Dr. Cantito continues to practice chiropractic and acupuncture, part-time, in Middlebury where he resides with his wife Maria, a registered nurse. He has a daughter and a son, both teachers, living in the greater Boston area.

Dr. Cantito was the Student Clinic Director for 15 years at UBSC. He is now a lead techinque instuctor in his fifth semester course and an assistant technique instructor in two other courses. In addition, he is an assistant instructor in the physical exam course. He is a clinician in both the Student Clinic and Out-Patient Clinic at the university's Health Science Center. Dr. Cantito has served on numerous committees including Quality Assurance, Admissions, OSCE, Disciplinary, and others.
He does volunteer health lectures for the city of Waterbury, CT, civil service departments and has in the past volunteered for the Paul Newman’s Hole In the Wall Gang Camp, bringing a cohort of chiropractic interns to treat the participants of the “Angel Ride” fund raiser.
