Dr. Albert Grazia received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Health Sciences from Rutgers University. He also has a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. He is currently the Director of the Doctor of Health Sciences (D.H.Sc.) Program at the University of Bridgeport and was proud to have led the team of clinicians and educators developing this world-class academic doctorate program. Besides serving as advisor and chairperson on dissertation committees, Dr. Grazia also teaches the Lifestyle and Health Issues, and Health Promotion and Disease Prevention courses in the D.H.Sc. Program.
Dr. Grazia’s passion for teaching was ignited over 20 years ago when his career in academia began as an adjunct professor. Besides teaching Nutritional Therapeutics to graduate students at the University of Bridgeport’s Nutrition Institute, he was also a faculty member in the nursing programs at Adelphi University and Molloy College. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nassau Community College, Department of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Grazia won the S.U.N.Y. Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. Dr. Grazia was a full-time professor at New York College of Health Professions and later became the Dean of the School of Massage Therapy. Dr. Grazia has experience teaching a variety of courses in the health sciences including Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, Biochemistry, Research Methods, Public Health, Pharmacology. He also conducted a series of College Success Seminars to benefit new students. Dr. Grazia’s teaching philosophy, to put students first, has contributed to the success of his students in the classroom.
Dr. Grazia has been practicing clinical nutrition and natural healing for over twenty-five years, specializing in helping those with cancer and other serious illnesses. He is dedicated to helping people achieve their wellness goals.
