Linda Fleming has worked in the health care field and education in various capacities for over 25 years. She began her career as a medical technologist and ran a hospital chemistry laboratory for several years before shifting her emphasis to nutrition, where her focus is on optimal wellness for each individual client.
Linda began instructing in the UBNI program as an adjunct assistant professor and then moved into the position of assistant director of curriculum development for the Nutrition Institute. In this position, she has played a key role in development of the capstone course in the Nutrition program, the Virtual Clinic. She was also part of the steering committee which resulted in first-in-the-nation programmatic accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Nutritional Professional Education (ACNPE).
Linda has also done extensive freelance work for Pearson Scientific, writing Instructor Resource Manuals to accompany several nutrition textbooks, and has been involved in developing instructional software to accompany these textbooks. She is a member of the advisory board for CyberSoft, a developer of nutrition software. She has also appeared on several local television shows to discuss the impact of nutrition on health.
