Dr. Meghan Gonick has been an Assistant Professor for the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute since 2021, following experience as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the University.
Their residency at the Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine with Dr. Peter D’Adamo. The Residency utilized a whole systems approach by integrating Naturopathic Medicine with modern Bioinformatics to develop individualize care plans for a variety of patients.
Dr. Gonick’s focus is on traditional medicines in modern practice including community access to traditional therapies. Their Naturopathic thesis focused on traditional growing methods' effects on pharmacological profiles of plants. Student awards included the Golden Needle Award for their clinical excellence and the first China Scholarship Award allowing an internship at the Shanghai Traditional Medicine Hospital.
In addition to teaching and private practice, Dr. Gonick has previously treated patients at SouthWest Community Health Clinics in Bridgeport, CT and at Penn Medicine Holistic Healthcare in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Gonick has published and presented research on Herbal medicine focusing on species native to North America.
