Mirofora Paridis is an alumnus of the University of Bridgeport Physician Assistant Institute. After graduating in 2017, she completed an 18 month residency program specializing in Emergency Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. Since then, she has held administrative positions within the Emergency Department at Yale as the Assistant Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Practitioner Residency and Education Coordinator of the staff Emergency Advanced Practitioner group while also practicing clinically.
Mirofora has created and implemented a simulation curriculum for the physician assistants and nurse practitioners working within the Emergency Department as a means to supplement their continuing medical education. Her interests also include procedural training and point of care ultrasound. Working as an Emergency Medicine provider in New Haven, Connecticut for over 6 years, she has experience treating a diverse population of patients. She also has experience in working with underserved communities, having led multiple clinical mission trips to Guatemala. She has returned home to the University of Bridgeport as the Coordinator of Simulation and Admissions of the Physician Assistant Institute and is excited to continue to incorporate simulation into the PAI curriculum.
