A native North Carolinian with the waters of the Outer Banks flowing through her veins, Dr. Elliott was first introduced to the University of Bridgeport in 2019 when she began her Doctor of Health Sciences Program studies. Since graduating in 2021 as a Doctor of Health Sciences with a Concentration in Education, Dr. Elliott has proudly been an Adjunct Professor in the Doctor of Health Sciences Program and the Fones School of Dental Hygiene: Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Program for the last four years. She has served as a dissertation chairperson and continues to be a dedicated dissertation committee member within the Doctor of Health Sciences Program. Full-time, Dr. Elliott is the Investigations Manager for the North Carolina Office of Compliance & Program Integrity (OCPI) with North Carolina Medicaid, identifying, preventing, providing oversight of, and referring Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse. Dr. Elliott is a sought-after public speaker on healthcare fraud, waste and abuse, oral health, public health, and geriatric healthcare reform.
