Sara Wallace joined the PA Institute Faculty after 13 years of clinical practice as a PA in the New Haven area. Originally from Long Island, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at SUNY Stony Brook, where she also minored in music. She relocated to Connecticut to attend the Physician Assistant program at Quinnipiac University, where she earned her Master of Health Science degree with distinction.
She practiced as an internal medicine PA on the hospitalist team at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven for five years, and then specialized in nephrology for private practice, for eight years. During clinical practice, she enjoyed participating as a preceptor for first and second-year PA students during internal medicine, geriatrics, and nephrology elective rotations.
In 2018, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at the UB PA Institute as an adjunct professor, and soon after joined the faculty in a full-time capacity. She is thrilled to be able to combine her passions for medicine, patient care, and teaching, as a PA Educator and greatly enjoys witnessing the learning process of her students. She is the faculty advisor to the PA class student government association and the medical challenge bowl teams. She held the role of Coordinator of Didactic Education and Admissions from 2018-2021, and became the Director of Didactic Education in 2022.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching good movies, outdoor activities, and supporting youth sports.
