In the field of health and wellness, Stephanie brings to the table 25 years of experience, degrees, certifications, and a mission to provide sound nutrition education for all populations including students. Stephanie teaches all undergraduate nutrition courses, along with other professors, at the University of Bridgeport.

Her background is not only extensive; it demonstrates aptitude and independence in many areas. She was the Nutritionist/ Educator at Vibrant Health for the past 4 years; however, for the past 16 years, Stephanie owned and operated Simply Health, a health and wellness business. As a shift from the client-focused world, she then began teaching Personal Training Certification courses for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Stephanie eventually decided to deepen her own education, earning her master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from the New York Institute of Technology. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Science from Saint Joseph University, West Hartford, CT. Lastly, she has been certified as a Nutrition & Consultant (granted by the American Fitness Professional’s Association) and Personal Trainer (granted by NASM) for the past 18 years.

From day one, she has been driven by a passion to help people understand the power of food and supplementation to meet their individual needs. Today, she loves being the founder of Simply Bowls & Co. located in Watertown, CT. She looks forward to being an inexhaustible resource for all her students and getting back to her roots of old-fashioned and sound nutrition education.

She believes by being a teacher, she can be the bridge to understanding wellness, for all populations, especially students. Her passion about food and movement being the new "RX," is contagious. This is what drove her to open up a wellness hub, Simply Bowls & Co, in her hometown. The team at Simply Bowls team is family. The head Chef, Darrin, a CIA graduate and her husband. The manager and co-owner, is her daughter, Kayla. Kayla also is a Student at Quinnipiac University. The family mission is simply. They wanted to provide an alternative healthy food on- the-go option for their community. They hope by providing simple, fast, healthy, fresh food; people will feel better and make their bodies want to continue to eat healthy, fresh food over processed. Essentially help their taste buds to "CRAVE HEALTHY." Which will develop into healthy eating overall. With Stephanie's nutrition education background, her husband's culinary cooking skills, and her daughter's creations, they have hit the nail on the head when it comes to providing healthy eating on the go, with a side of nutrition education. Their vision has become a reality and the Simply Bowls team believes their motto to "CRAVE HEALTHY," it's catching on! She hopes her energy and passion for nutrition is just as contagious to her students. She looks forward to teaching this semester and providing accurate, up-to-date, nutrition education to all of her students- so they too can "CRAVE HEALTHY."
