Dr. Ali Baker joined the Ernest C. Trefz School of Business at the University of Bridgeport in August 2020. He is passionate about helping first-generation Americans. He is a business practitioner who has experience in industry and academia. His experience provides students with academic and practical wisdom from the business world that includes the technical, conceptual, and social dynamics needed to succeed in business teams.
He is an active member of the Association of Information Systems, and he is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, and Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Societies. He has 12+ years of industry experience and continues his involvement in industry while paying it forward in academia. He is passionate about management science, information systems, technology, analytics/data science, AI/ML, cloud computing, and knowledge management.
His current research interests are:
- The processes of transforming data into knowledge for better decision-making.
- Ensemble methods for stock market analytics.
- Building & using AI/ML models for quantitative trading.
