Susan Miklos

Dr. Susan Miklos is a full time Associate Professor at the University of Bridgeport Fones School of Dental Hygiene, joining the Fones School of Dental Hygiene faculty team in 2015. Previous clinical teaching responsibilities include DHYG 199, DHYG 129, DHYG 130, DHYG 227, DHYG 228 and DHYG 201.
Her 40 plus years of experience in the arena of dentistry include working with the cleft palate team, clinical practice in expanded function dental assisting, dental hygiene, dental public health, health science education, and dental practice technology. As the coordinator of the Fones Dental Hygiene Health Center at the Jettie S. Tisdale Elementary School, she works in concert with second year students in the delivery of dental hygiene services. She keeps her professional affiliations current with membership with the American Dental Educators Association, American Dental Hygienists’ Association, ADHA, has chaired the ADHA Ethics Committee, ADHA – CT, and the Southeastern Dental Hygiene Association. Susan has served in multiple positions both on the local and state levels as secretary, vice-president and president elect leading to serving as the President of the Connecticut Dental Hygienists’ Association in the 100th year of dental hygiene as well as past service for the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Ethics Committee, Region A. She has served on the UB Senate as Secretary for a number of years.
